The "Intelligent Talks" Series Vol. 2 - "Confronting Fatherhood"
On Saturday June 16th The Neighborhood Enrichment Project's community outreach initiative "Intelligent Talks" continues. Join us as we host a viewing of the powerful movie on Fatherhood, "Courageous". Following the movie will be a panel discussion led by local community leaders and parents. HIGH Museum of Art Exposure Trip
We took a group of our Bridge Youth Leadership Movement VIP's (Very Intelligent People) to the HIGH Museum to experience the Picasso to Warhol Exhibit. This collection of classic art is on display here in Atlanta about once every two decades and our students were there to experience it. That is what we call "Intelligent Exposures!"

The Bridge Youth Leadership Movement Is Back!
The Bridge Youth Leadership Movement (BYLM) kicked off this week at Hamilton E Holmes Elementary School, Paul D West Middle School, and Tri Cities High School all located in East Point, Georgia. We look forward to all that is to come of this, our first full school year of implemeting the program.

Mentors Needed!
Hello Supporters,
I hope that you are having an enjoyable summer. As the end of summer nears we are anticipating the start to a new school year, which also signals the start of The Neighborhood Enrichment Project's after school program,The Bridge Youth Leadership Movement (BYLM). After a successful pilot program this past spring we are excited to kick off a full year of BYLM. Our goal is to empower many more BYLM VIP's (Very Intelligent People) this school year, however our capacity to do so will be dependent in how many volunteer facilitators/mentors we can attract.
Volunteer Facilitator/Mentor Roles
- Passion for youth
- A positive, motivating, empowering disposition
- Group mentoring
- Leading small group activities & discussions
We will be hosting a brief Volunteer Recruitment meeting on Wednesday August 17th from 4:30 pm - 5:00 pm & 6:00 - 6:30, location to be determined. Please mark your calendars and inform anyone that you know who may be interested. We are asking our volunteers for a minimum commitment of two days a month at one of our locations below.

The Bridge Youth Leadership Movement Has Begun!
We are excited to announce that The Bridge Youth Leadership Movement has begun. We are working with 20 amazing youth VIP's (Very Intelligent People). The youth are from ages 9-14 and they attend school at Hamilton E Holmes elementary and Paul D West middle schools in East Point Georgia. The enrichment of lives and development of leadership has begun!
1/24/11- The Bridge Youth Leadership Movement
On Jan. 24, 2011 we hosted a community meeting at Hamilton E. Holmes Elementary School in East Point, GA to introduce our first initiative, The Bridge Youth Leadership Movement, to community educators and stakeholders. Interest was sparked and the event was a great success!
1/1/11- New Facebook Campaign "Vision 2011"
We launched our new Facebook Fan Page with our "Vision 2011" campaign. The Goal is to attract 2011 "Likes" on our Page this year. Find us on Facebook now!
